A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party company providing those results; our servers do not retain a copy of the query. When you send a message, we receive the details you choose to include and use them to answer.
Technical Data Collected
Routine hosting logs can contain an IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp. Aggregated logs help diagnose faults and show general traffic patterns. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Data Is Used
Limited data supports operation, security, troubleshooting, audience measurement, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. The project research did not verify a separate West Virginia consumer-privacy statute or statewide opt-out portal, so none is claimed here. Because little data is retained, a request generally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page. Records held by West Virginia, Mercer County, or Bluefield offices remain under the control of those custodians.
